Oh to have a swimming pool on a hot summers day, or even through winter – heated pools are just amazing! Many of us wish to have one but unfortunately space restricts us from doing so…. or does it?
This article inspired by a Yahoo News article, where a house owner, working in an area less than 40sqm figured out some amazing plans to create the perfect swimming pool using a mix of recycled and new materials, framed by custom steel frames and timber screens and features a clear perspex front panel to create a striking plunge pool and outdoor living space for a period home.
The pool, steel frames and timber screens were all built by a company Phase3 Landscape Construction, and it looks just divine.
“Custom steel and timber screen adjacent to the pool and stairs was designed to provide the function of a pool barrier, conceal the entry point to the pool, and provide visual privacy to the pool area.” – Phase3 Landscape Construction
“The frame for the pergola incorporates chunky, rustic recycled timber posts and built-in seating features recycled battens with a stressed paint finish. A roof of laser-cut metal panels throws dappled shade on to the sitting area and the entire space is enhanced by recycled pavers and low- maintenance water wise plants”
We give this project an A+! Not only does it give the house an extra feature, thus potentially improving the value, but it just goes to show that with a little bit of planning and time to source out some quality materials, you too could have a pool just as amazing as this one regardless of size constraints!
